Additional
surface storage is needed to meet the needs of the growing population,
and if strategically located it will provide much needed flexibility
in the system to improve water quality and support fish restoration
efforts. DWR and Reclamation are continuing with the feasibility study and CEQA, NEPA, and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act process for the Shasta Lake Water Resources Investigation, North-of-the-Delta Offstream Storage Investigations, Los Vaqueros Reservoir Expansion, and Upper San Joaquin River Basin Storage Investigations. |
